Lately I’ve been creating a variety of new works, from calming landscapes and feminine silhouettes, to heavily textured mineral paintings embellished with 23 karat gold. It’s been a joy to create these pieces, and I’m thrilled to share some of them with you here.

Email me for pricing information, and if you’re local to Houston you’re welcome to schedule a time to meet me at my studio to see the work in person.

Additionally, the majority of my work is available for purchase here

Last weekend I had the pleasure of showcasing my work in the Memorial Market, hosted by Heart to Market. The founders of the pop-up, Amy Mei and Katie Tai, created a beautiful event! From an impressive selection of vendors to the massive, gorgeous balloon art installation, I was delighted by their attention to detail.

Each of the vendors Amy and Katie selected showed up with excellent products, and spent a great deal of time curating an aesthetically pleasing booth. Here are three brands I discovered, purchased from, and highly recommend!

Bella Sofia Studio

Laura and Shari (founders of Bella Sofia Studio) were my booth neighbors during the event, and it was such a joy to get to know them, as well as their gorgeous shop! They sell an exquisite collection of Mexican artisan - made clothing. Think pops of color and fine embroidery. I couldn't leave without buying matching outfits for my three year old daughter and myself! We plan to wear them on her birthday.

A Pop of Literacy

Jackelyn, Julie, and Alli (founders of A Pop of Literacy) are teachers and mothers, and have created the sweetest, most clever boxes for children. Each one includes a book, and sensory toys that apply to the theme of the story. I picked up the Tea Party Pop Box and the Bug Pop Box for my twins. Shhh... don't tell them! It's going to be a birthday surprise.

The Everyday Bake Shop

OMG. Yum. My husband picked up some brown butter chocolate chip cookies, as well as some funfetti shortbread cookies. We intended to share them with the kids... but not many made it home.

There were so many remarkable brands represented at the Memorial Market. Keep up with Heart to Market, and don't miss their next event!

I am currently accepting a limited number of requests for commissioned paintings. I love building relationships with my clients, and look forward to creating the unique painting that will best suit your needs, as well as your home. Examples of my previous work can be seen by clicking here.

It is a great joy to paint a piece that will be close to your heart. I love commemorating a special travel spot, landscape, a pet or favorite animal, still life that represents a sweet memory, or a beautiful painting of your family's home.

What to expect when working with me on a project like this:

1) A deposit of half of the total amount will be due up front (prices listed below). From there, we can begin the process of creating a beautiful, personalized, original piece of art for your home.

2) We will have a conversation either via Etsy or by telephone, depending on your preference. Here, we will discuss the details so I have a clear picture of what you are looking for. We can also discuss what I will need as far as a reference picture goes at this time.

3) Turn around time on an original work like this is approximately 2 - 3 weeks.

4) Prior to mailing the finished product to you, the remaining balance will be due.

5) Generally, commissioned paintings will be mailed unframed. However, if you’d like me to help you source a great match for your new art, I’d be happy to do so for an additional cost.

IMPORTANT NOTE - You can receive a 20% discount on your commissioned work here: www.leesybirdartdiscountcodes.com

Fees for Commissioned Paintings -

5 x 7 in. - $135 total, including shipping
8 x 10 in. - $185 total, including shipping
16 x 20 in. - $315 total, including shipping

If you have a different size in mind, email me for pricing details.

(Again, 1/2 is paid up front, and the remainder will be paid upon completion of the work, prior to mailing.)

Thank you for your interest. Email me with any questions. (Leesybirdart@gmail.com)

I'm pleased to share that there are many new pieces of art available in my shop! Each and every one was hand painted with love, and printed on high quality paper to be a perfect addition to your home.

Some of the available items include art print bundles - which I am super excited about! Bundles offer my collectors to obtain multiple pieces of art at a discounted rate. For example, the image above includes my "Italian Style Prints 2" bundle, which contains two 8 x 10 prints, one "Tuscan Picnic" and one "Italian Inspired Lemons." Sold separately, each of these would go for $30, so $60 total. However, when purchased as a bundle you can get them both for $52. And remember - everything in the shop over $35 includes free shipping.

Some of the other bundles I'm currently offering include the following images, and can be found and purchased here.

I'm so excited to have four new, fine-art prints available in the shop - just in time for Christmas gifts! As always, each piece is hand-painted with love and printed on high-quality paper.

Here are a few sneak peeks at what is available in my store. Please DM me through Instagram (@leesybird_art) or email me at leesybirdart@gmail.com with any inquiries.

Elise Holland is the artist behind Leesy Bird Art. She has a widely varied body of work, but focuses primarily on loose, natural landscapes and romantic figure studies. So much of what she does with her work is an effort to communicate feeling, a specific mood with each painting.

In her studio based in Houston, Texas, Elise uses a combination of watercolor, mineral and acrylic paints, as well as light pencil and often 23 karat gold leaf to achieve her signature style. When not painting, Elise can be found tending to her twins (who often have a paint and brushes in their own hands), or exploring Houston's vibrant restaurant scene with her husband or friends.

We are proud to say that 10% of each Leesy Bird Art purchase is donated to The Women's Home of Texas.
