Last weekend I had the pleasure of showcasing my work in the Memorial Market, hosted by Heart to Market. The founders of the pop-up, Amy Mei and Katie Tai, created a beautiful event! From an impressive selection of vendors to the massive, gorgeous balloon art installation, I was delighted by their attention to detail.
Each of the vendors Amy and Katie selected showed up with excellent products, and spent a great deal of time curating an aesthetically pleasing booth. Here are three brands I discovered, purchased from, and highly recommend!
Laura and Shari (founders of Bella Sofia Studio) were my booth neighbors during the event, and it was such a joy to get to know them, as well as their gorgeous shop! They sell an exquisite collection of Mexican artisan - made clothing. Think pops of color and fine embroidery. I couldn't leave without buying matching outfits for my three year old daughter and myself! We plan to wear them on her birthday.
Jackelyn, Julie, and Alli (founders of A Pop of Literacy) are teachers and mothers, and have created the sweetest, most clever boxes for children. Each one includes a book, and sensory toys that apply to the theme of the story. I picked up the Tea Party Pop Box and the Bug Pop Box for my twins. Shhh... don't tell them! It's going to be a birthday surprise.
OMG. Yum. My husband picked up some brown butter chocolate chip cookies, as well as some funfetti shortbread cookies. We intended to share them with the kids... but not many made it home.
There were so many remarkable brands represented at the Memorial Market. Keep up with Heart to Market, and don't miss their next event!

It is a great joy to paint a piece that will be close to your heart. I love commemorating a special travel spot, landscape, a pet or favorite animal, still life that represents a sweet memory, or a beautiful painting of your family's home.
What to expect when working with me on a project like this:
1) A deposit of half of the total amount will be due up front (prices listed below). From there, we can begin the process of creating a beautiful, personalized, original piece of art for your home.
2) We will have a conversation either via Etsy or by telephone, depending on your preference. Here, we will discuss the details so I have a clear picture of what you are looking for. We can also discuss what I will need as far as a reference picture goes at this time.
3) Turn around time on an original work like this is approximately 2 - 3 weeks.
4) Prior to mailing the finished product to you, the remaining balance will be due.
5) Generally, commissioned paintings will be mailed unframed. However, if you’d like me to help you source a great match for your new art, I’d be happy to do so for an additional cost.
IMPORTANT NOTE - You can receive a 20% discount on your commissioned work here: www.leesybirdartdiscountcodes.com
Fees for Commissioned Paintings -
5 x 7 in. - $135 total, including shipping
8 x 10 in. - $185 total, including shipping
16 x 20 in. - $315 total, including shipping
If you have a different size in mind, email me for pricing details.
(Again, 1/2 is paid up front, and the remainder will be paid upon completion of the work, prior to mailing.)
Thank you for your interest. Email me with any questions. (Leesybirdart@gmail.com)
